These decoys are from the collection of the late A.C. "Alf" Lawson from the Bothwell area. On them he had put a note with the provenance. It states they were made by Doug Thompson from Vittoria, Ontario. Doug did a lot of hunting and fishing on Lake Erie, near St Williams, and Port Rowen. Circa 1954. Made out of cedar from an old hydro pole. They are all in good shape, and are slightly different from one another. One does not have eyes. Another has a small chip at the neck. Another has a loose head. One is missing it's "rudder".Check out the attached photos which shows this. Each are approx. 14"l, 6"w, 8" t.
