I saw this on the Christie field in the booth of David Field of Croyden House Antiques a couple of years back. "Isn't this the best you've seen" he asked, and I had to admit it was, and bought it. Problem is there was three coats of white paint over everything and it took me two years on and off (admittedly more off than on) to take off the overpaint. If I get what I'm asking, I figure I'll have made $2 per hour for my labor, but that's not the point. I'm delighted to have brought this back. The whole interior is carved out of the one piece of wood which forms the body. Everything is carved wood, even the tires. I had to restore a few small "punky" places were the weather had gotten to it, which I did with two part epoxy putty and touched up the paint. All I know is that it is from Quebec and mid 20th century, and that it's fabulous. 36" long, 36" wide, 19 " tall on the stand.
