Excellent carving of a leaping horse by an unknown Quebec carver

I got this piece some years ago from the well known Pierre LaPlante collection of Quebec folk art. It is very well made of carved and painted wood, with handmade leather, metal, and fabric saddle blanket and tack. Excellent form and colour. As found. 15" wide. 4 1/2" wide. 17" tall.
