This one door cupboard was originally used for storing clothing. It retains the original set of pegs around the inside near the top. An attached image shows this. In as found condition, it has an inside top shelf that was added later, and could easily be removed. Left side unpainted (also shown in a photo) Otherwise, the people must have kept the dog food inside as there are scratch marks near the latch. Waterford, Ontario, circa 1870. 40"w, 16"d, 53 1/2" t. Early paint over pine.
